Current Work Experience and Community Involvement

When I am not working with people through Blue Door Counselling Services, I living my other passion by working at The Center for Research, Education and Clinical Care for At Risk Populations (RECAP). Here I provide counselling, community connection and outreach. Through this work, I also have the honour of sitting on Saint John's Sex Trade Action Committee, the Urgent Public Health Need Sites (UPHNS) Community of Practice. I also currently sit on the Social Action Committee with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers.

-Member of an advisory committee for the Fredericton Sexual Assault Crisis Centre Inc.
-Organizer on a domestic violence forum for Vancouver Child Protection Workers
-Organizer in a cultural awareness day for Family Services of the north region of Vancouver
-Received an annual award for my accomplishments in collaborative work between Child
Protection Agencies
-Manage a gift drive among local schools for three consecutive years, for families in need
during the holiday season.
